Randstad is working with an independent specialist school based in Wirral providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centered education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school recognises that this position is both varied and challenging and as such all staff are provided with extensive therapeutic training and support. The children come from a wide range of backgrounds and some will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Responsibilities
Working as a KS2 Teacher within a Wirral school, you will be expected to deliver fun based learning which is differentiated to meet the needs of each pupil, and to ensure they will achieve positive results. The school has high levels of pupil premium, and FSM
The role will be challenging yet rewarding, working in an ever changing environment where you can make a real difference. You will be able to demonstrate practical, holistic teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people they support.
An understanding of the National Curriculum (2014) framework
Have a clear understanding of the needs of all children and be able to use and evaluate distinctive approaches to engage and support them
Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of professionalism at all times
Ensure learning is effectively differentiated in order to allow all pupils to access the curriculum
Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, mental health needs
Flexible in being able to provide 1:1, group supportRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status
Knowledge of the National Curriculum (2014)
Have a flexible, can-do approach
Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process
Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years
Have legal right to work in the UK
