Interim Supply Chain Manager
Location: South West England, Wiltshire, Swindon

Job Duties:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and analyse supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.
Manage and oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate demand planning and forecasting.
Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising excess or obsolete inventory.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to maximise value.
Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Implement and maintain supply chain systems and technologies, such as SAP, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in supply chain operations.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
Education:
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or related roles.
Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies.
Demonstrated success in optimising supply chain performance and driving continuous improvement.
Experience in managing procurement activities and supplier relationships.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practises.
Previous experience in leading and developing a team.
Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles and best practises.
Proficiency in using SAP or other supply chain management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in supply chain operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Additional certifications in supply chain management or related areas.
Working Conditions:
This is an interim contract position.
Full-time hours are expected.
Work location is in South West England, specifically Wiltshire, Swindon.
Some travel may be required to meet with suppliers or visit other company sites
