Residential Support Worker Needed in Doncaster!

Start date: ASAP

Type of contract: Flexible, supply role

Are you tired of working in a highly demanding full-time role but still want to help vulnerable adults?

Do you hold a Child Care or Health and Social Care NVQ, BTEC or CACHE?

Do you have experience with working one-on-one with young adults with Special Needs in a mentoring role?

A passionate Residential Support Worker is needed in Doncaster (DN11 and DN8), to assist adults of 18 years and over, all of whom have a learning disability, often together with autism; and complex needs including behaviour that may challenge. The residents here live in a range of single-person and shared accommodation to meet the needs of each individual; each resident has their own bedroom and bathroom which ensures dignity and respect for the individual who may need intimate care.

The ideal Residential Support Worker will need to have:

• Previous experience within a care environment
• A patient and caring approach when providing all aspects of care
• Experience in one-to-one support to encourage independence and raising self-esteem
• Be comfortable with providing personal care to adults, including washing, dressing, toileting and feeding
• Respect privacy and dignity at all times
