Job Description

A global manufacturer of high value engineered parts is now seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Contract) to lead their expanding team. Trading for over 40 years, the business manufactures Automotive (mainly) components for industry-specific needs across the globe. The successful professional will be supporting the maintenance department with breakdown response and planned maintenance, working on a range of high value machinery. This individual with receive a competitive hourly rate, flexibility of working hours and the opportunity to work with great technology.

Duties include -

Respond to mechanical breakdowns as they occur during the day

Working with a range of CNC, presses, robot and assembly cell, and ancillary equipment across the machining division

Troubleshoot on all breakdowns, working from machine drawings and schematics

Support and provide any improvements to PPM schedules

Liaising with the lead maintenance engineer on priority jobs, spares and replacement parts required.

Recording of all maintenance activities correctly through the CMMS software

For the role of Maintenance Engineer (Contract), we're looking for the following skills and experience -

Strong knowledge of both mechanical and basic electrical maintenance.

Proven experience of maintaining CNC machinery, robots and automated assembly lines.

Ability to follow planned maintenance schedules with guidance from the lead engineer.

Your own toolbox (specialist tools are provided by the department).
