Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join a well-established Special Needs School in Wakefield, starting in September 2024. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess tailored educational programmes that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals and families.
• Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of SEND best practices and legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
