Early Years Operations Lead

Start date: ASAP
Full time: 36/hr a week

Job purpose
To lead and manage key programmes including the delivery and ongoing development of an activity and healthy food programme for children and young people during the school holidays.

Key responsibilities
1. Lead on all aspects of the planning, delivery and reporting of a programme of holiday activities and food for Islington children and young people and their families
2. Lead on identifying, engaging and managing relationships with key partners both internal and external, securing their support and involvement in order to achieve a successful programme
3. Lead on the development of provision which meets the needs of local families through engaging existing and new activity and food providers, providing support and information which enables them to deliver high quality programmes in Islington
4. Ensure effective use of available resources and funding to support provision which is inclusive, accessible, high quality, and meets the needs of local families and the requirements of the government-funded HAF programme
5. Develop a quality assurance programme which supports HAF providers to improve the quality of their provision for the benefit of eligible children and young people and gives assurance that providers are meeting the framework of minimum standards (including safeguarding requirements and meals that meet school food standards)

Experience

• Experience of developing and providing high quality play and enrichment activities for children and young people
• Significant high level project management experience in local government or the voluntary sector
• Experience of establishing effective strategic partnerships with a range of statutory and voluntary sector partners and organisations
• Experience of developing, monitoring and quality assuring provision for children and young people and/or families
