Purchasing Officer

Slough

£14.57 per hour (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (3 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Purchasing Officer in Slough. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

Source and negotiate prices for services within agreed budget parameters

Administer and keep up to date electronic records of all contacts made with individuals, providers and social care and healthcare staff

Liaise with social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, CPNs and other professionals to ensure care and support plans, and necessary funding permissions/authorisations are provided prior to the start of an individual's placement or package of care.

To evaluate the outcomes from the purchasing activity and enact agreed improvements.

To record purchasing activity. Records to include maintaining electronic log of purchasing activity, negotiations and correspondenceThe candidate:

Experience working in a procurement capacity is essential

Good MS Office skills
