Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and ensuring the well-being and progress of our students.

Key Responsibilities for Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

• Assist in planning and delivering lessons, small group activities, and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Provide support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning experiences.
• Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records of achievement.
• Help to manage behaviour and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
• Support the teacher in implementing the school's curriculum and policies effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices for student development.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required by the school leadership team.

Requirements for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Experience working in an educational setting, preferably within a primary or secondary school.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of all students.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
• An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
