About Us:

We are working with an Outstanding primary school in Lewisham that is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team. They have a focus on developing lifelong learners who have resilience and creativity. If you have the relevant experience and a keen interest in SEN, please read on!

Key Responsibilities:

Be able to engage and progress the learning of SEN pupils

Team player who will make a positive contribution to the school team

Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Be able to think ‘outside the box’ to extend pupil learning

Provide one-on-one support to children with dyslexia

Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with dyslexia

Knowledge: Understanding of supporting SEN pupils

Desirable: Experience working with SEN children
