Swanstaff Ltd is hiring Yard Operatives for our client in Aston Clinton. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, promoting reuse and recycling, and assisting the public with their waste disposal. Due to the location, having your own vehicle and a valid driving license may be necessary for some applicants.

Job Responsibilities:

* Operate the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently.

* Assist and direct the public in the correct disposal of waste.

* Identify and intercept reusable items in collaboration with our charity partners.

* Encourage the reuse of items before recycling.

* Perform and document daily site inspections and equipment safety checks.

* Ensure all chargeable waste is correctly identified.

* Prevent unauthorised individuals from sorting, disturbing, or removing any waste from the Recycling Centre.

Role Requirements:

* Experience in recycling or waste management is desirable but not essential.

* PPE must be worn at all times.

* Courteous and professional with customers, clients, and colleagues.

* Punctual and reliable.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Must be available to work 5 out of 7 days per week.

* Working hours: 8am – 5pm, sites open 7 days a week.

* Paid weekly.
