About the role of Design manager

Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a national main contractor in their search for a Design manager. The role is for a Design manager, who can comfortably commute into South West England to assist with the construction of a timber frame project. You will be required to work 5 days per week with 2/3 days on site. This will start as a temporary 2-week contract with the opportunity to continue onto a permanent or extended contract.

Responsibilities for Design Manager

Ensure that they uphold the company values and promote the company as an all-round company.

Look after audits and design duties

Review and comment on Architectural, Engineering and MEPH design for a timber frame housing development

Requirements for Design Manager

Experience with timber frame

Proven experience as a Design manager / Technical Co-Ordinator

A demonstrable history of adding significant value

Extensive knowledge and experience of construction, design, co-ordination

Advanced analytical skills

Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook
