Social Science Teacher

Location: Bristol

Pay: £162.31 - £223.63 per day

Type: Fixed-term contract (maternity cover)

Hours: Full-time

Start date: Dec '24/Jan '25

Elementa is recruiting for a Teacher of Social Science for this popular Secondary School in the Emersons Green area of Bristol. The role is to cover maternity leave, and will be starting in December or January, for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent role to follow.

You will be teaching years 7 - 13, to include A Level groups, with a particular focus on the exam groups, teaching across a range of Social Science subjects, including; Sociology, Criminology and Health and Social Care.

As a Teacher, the education of your pupils is your priority, and you will be responsible for students achieving the highest possible standards, in both work and conduct. You will have strong subject knowledge, and keep up-to-date with the changes in curriculum. You will forge positive professional relationships, and work alongside parents/carers in the best interest of the pupils.

Responsibilities to include:

• Teaching across Key Stages 3,4 & 5
• Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge
• Impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time
• Promote a love of learning and children s intellectual curiosity
• Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area(s).

Contract & recruitment information
