If you are, we have a OFSTED Rated Outstanding SEN School based in the London Borough of Hartley looking to speak with enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or support workers for opportunities working with additional needs. The school serves students aged 3-19 with Special Educational Needs The role will be a mixture of supporting students 1:1 as well as supporting small groups and general class support for the teacher.
Job Details –SEN Teaching Assistant
· Working with different abilities of student including supporting needs such as EHCP plans, ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
· Working with ages from 3-19 years old
· ASAP start. Full-time, long-term role, potential to go permanent
· £87 - £105 per day – PAYE + Umbrella option available.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Provide support to children during lessons, ensuring they understand the material and feel confident in their abilities.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging participation and promoting good behaviour among students.
- Communicate effectively with children, using appropriate language and techniques to enhance their understanding.
- Support children with special education needs by implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
Person Specification – SEN Teaching Assistant
· SEN TA or support work experience
· Ambitious in Education. Any education staff and support workers or carers are encouraged to apply
· Enthusiastic, Reliable and Empathetic
· Must be able to work well within a team and solo.
