E & M Talent have partnered with a reputable 'non-profit' in the Manchester area who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them for a minimum of 12 months to cover a period of Maternity Leave.
This position will suit someone who has had demonstrable experience dealing with transactional finance duties such as the accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor in ensuring timely payments of supplier invoices
- Match, batch and code high volumes of supplier invoices
- Support in preparation of weekly payment runs
- Prepare cash book journals and reconcile bank accounts
- Handle queries
- Support in month end ledger close and prepare schedule of unapproved invoices
- Perform credit checks and ensure accounts operate within limits
- Raise sales invoices
- Allocate cash and receipts to accounts
- Maintain aged debtor reports
After initial training/settling in period the successful candidate will be able to work on a hybrid basis with staff working from home up to 3 days per week.
Ideally, we are looking for the successful candidate to commence early October.
