Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 2 with behavioural needs at our inclusive and supportive primary school.

• Provide tailored support to a child with behavioural challenges in KS2.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised learning plans.
• Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions.
• Support the child in both academic and non-academic activities, fostering their emotional and social development.
• Help create a structured and nurturing learning environment.

• Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural needs, is highly desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.
• A flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a dedicated team.
• A commitment to promoting the child's well-being and academic progress.

This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks and is restricted to male applicants due to the specific needs of the child.

Contract: Fixed-term, term-time only
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm)
Start Date: As soon as possible
