Job Description

We are recruiting a SEND teaching assistant role to work in the Sutton Coldfield area in a 1-form entry Outstanding Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 1 with Autism and challenging behaviour.

The school is looking for a candidate with experience with Autism and challenging behaviour. Additional qualifications around SEND is desirable.

The school is a 2-form entry Primary School based in the centre of Sutton Coldfield.

This role will start in September 2024 and continue to July 2025 full-time (8:30-3:30).

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
• Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references
