Art Teacher (Maternity Cover) Full Time Mainstream Secondary School in Wigan

Cover People are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a thriving mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to inspire students and foster their creativity in a supportive learning environment.

Role:

• Full-time Art Teacher (Maternity Cover)
• Location: Mainstream Secondary School in Wigan
• Start Date: November 2024
• Contract: Temporary, maternity cover

Responsibilities:

• Teach Art across KS3 and KS4, following the school's curriculum
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and artistic expression
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support learning objectives
• Work collaboratively with the Art department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
• Participate in school activities, parent evenings, and relevant department meetings

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Previous experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting is desirable
• A passion for teaching and the ability to engage students in creative activities
• Strong classroom management skills
