Cover Supervisor
Location: Colchester, Chelmsford
Salary: £110 - £150 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education s Chelmsford branch is currently recruiting a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a client school in Colchester. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities for Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes and ensure students remain focused on their set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide support where necessary to assist students in their learning.
• Maintain the progress of students and ensure the completion of tasks set by the class teacher.
• Communicate with teaching staff regarding any issues or updates related to the classroom.
• Support the school in various departments, including assisting with administrative tasks if required.

Qualifications and Experience for Cover Supervisor:

• Experience working in a school environment or with young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour in the classroom and maintain a productive learning environment.
• A passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
