Electrical Superintendent

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our maritime contractor client for an Electrical Superintendent on an agency worker contract based in NL.

You'll work closely with the Technical Superintendent to prepare dockings and repairs to the electrical equipment. You will be joining a team with other Electrical Superintendent, Technical Superintendents and Project Engineers based in Rotterdam offices. Although this is mainly providing office-based support to the vessels, you may also need to travel to locations where a ship goes into dock for repairs and maintenance outside of NL.

You will be involved in the maintenance and modifications for the electrical installations on board ships and equipment in the existing fleet.

Responsibilities

You will advise the Technical Superintendent on the daily situation regarding electrical systems of our ships;

You determine the requirements for the electrical installations based on the project requirements;

You advise on technical solutions to achieve the project goals;

You test the technical proposals of suppliers against the requirements;

You support the crew with electrical problems on board.Your skills/Experience

You have a minimum HBO working and thinking level (preferably in the direction of electrical engineering);

You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in the maritime sector);

You are fluent in English; both written and spoken English.
