Supply Desk are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Sidlesham

Starting asa on a long-term contract

Pay: £80 - £110 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Are you a passionate, enthusiastic and trained HLTA seeking a new role? Do you have experience working with small groups for English and Math interventions? Are you most comfortable working with KS2 students? If you have experience working with students and planning lessons, this is the role for you.

Job Description:

• Working with Year 5 and 6 to offer Math and English interventions
• Preparing students for upcoming SATS
• Being prepared to work throughout the school in different Year Groups once SATs have ended
• Supporting those with additional needs including EHCPs
• Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
• Pay: Daily Rate (£80-£100)
Location: Sidlesham
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: Long Term Potential to become permanent
• Hours: Full time

Individual Profile:

• Good subject knowledge required
• HLTA certification or teaching certification
• Must have good classroom and behaviour management
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
• Intervention experience preferred
• As the school is in a small rural village- a car is a necessity

Responsibilities:

• To support a small group of children with English and Math gaps in knowledge within KS2
• Be able to adapt planning and resources to meet the needs of children working at a lower level
• Marking lessons to assess what to teach next and which objectives have been met
• Strong communication with class Teachers to update them on progress and next steps
• Have good subject knowledge of English and Math from KS1 KS2 level
