Low Case Loads and Excellent Rates

A Local Authority based in the South is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Locality service which is well managed by long standing permanent staff who have managed to keep caseloads down to around 15.

Highlights:

Caseloads are very well managed with Social Workers receiving around 15 on average

The team take cases from Assessment through to Care Proceedings with most of cases being CIN where the focus is to help support families access resources in the region to help prevent further deterioration.

The team also cover a very small region so most cases tend to be in the area so staff generally don't spent excessive time travelling.

Pay rates are very competitive on a national level and successful candidates can earn up to £45/hr

You will be joining a largely stable team that has a low turnover of staff with agency staff choosing to stay on a long term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a post which offers excellent rates whilst maintaining a manageable workload. Furthermore Social Workers on the team are provided a high level of autonomy meaning team members can decide whether to work from home or the office and for some this certainly helps them maintain a healthier work/life balance.

The service benefits from a stable management team all of who are employed on a permanent basis which generally suggests a low risk of disruption to the way the team is run and the support offered to workers. Indeed caseloads are managed very well with social workers picking up an average of around 15 cases with most of these tending to focus on CIN work where there is a need to help these families access resources. Of course due to the nature of the team you will be expected to carry out Court Work but this will be only on 1 or 2 of your cases.
