Tutors experienced with working in PRU settings needed in Cardiff after Easter.

Are you passionate about assisting disaffected pupils with behavioural or emotional needs?

Do you possess a nurturing, flexible and patient approach?

Do you have prior experience delivering Independent Living Skills?

TeacherActive is currently seeking Tutors to support the learning and development of pupils requiring additional support in Colleges. Some of these pupils may be NEET and at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. The College works with a diverse range of students with additional learning and emotional/social needs. Experience with challenging behaviour is a must.

The primary focus will be on delivering core skills in English and Maths at GCSE level.

Essential Skills and Experience:

1. Understanding and appreciation of working with disengaged pupils and those with SEN/ALN/Challenging Behaviour;
2. Ability to deliver a non-accredited curriculum within the framework;
3. Understanding and appreciation of delivering Independent Living Skills;
4. Knowledge and experience of positive behaviour strategies and helping children self-regulate emotions;
5. Excellent written communication and reporting skills;
6. Excellent timekeeping and reliability with an empathetic and understanding nature;
