CREM Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with a large, established client in Bury St Edmunds. We are looking for a warehouse operative with reach truck & counterbalance forklift experience. This position is available for an immediate start.

Duties

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently around warehouse.
• You will be expected to perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and support overall warehouse operations.
• Duties required may change depending on the needs of the business. Flexibility to jump in and assist is a must.

Hours of work:

12pm - 8pm. Monday to Friday.

Pay:

14.31 per hour.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, as well as materials handling best practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A valid forklift operator certification is desirable; additional certifications are a plus.
