Electrical Engineer | 4-Day Week | Trawsfynydd

📍 Location: Trawsfynydd, North Wales (100% on-site)

💼 Duration: 48 months

💷 Rate: £35.95 – £41.75/hour (Umbrella)

🕓 Hours: Full-time, 4-day working week

🛡 Security Clearance: BPSS (must be eligible)

About the Role

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose engineering design solutions across key site projects. You'll be responsible for driving designs from concept through to construction while ensuring all standards, safety requirements, and configuration controls are met.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver detailed electrical designs using AutoCAD

Develop concept designs and technical specifications

Produce and approve engineering documentation and modification proposals

Perform technical reviews and provide onsite technical supervision

Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and act as Principal Designer where required

Collaborate with systems engineers and project stakeholders across the full project lifecycle

Maintain site configuration control and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Approve as-built drawings and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standardsRequirements

✅ Electrical Engineering background with experience in design

✅ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

✅ AutoCAD (or similar) proficiency

✅ Technical report writing and specification development skills

✅ Some exposure to PLC systems

✅ HNC or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering

✅ Familiarity with CDM regulations

✅ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
