Hays Education are currently working with a large primary school to recruit an experienced Year 1 teacher for a two-term contract starting in September 2025.
The role is initially for two terms but could be extended for the full academic year.

Your new role As a Year 1 teacher within a long-term opportunity, you will be required to undertake full teacher responsibilities for planning, marking and assessing and attending staff meetings, training and parents' evenings. You will be required to gain a good understanding of your class from an early stage of your time at the school, to deliver stimulating lessons in line with the national curriculum and to utilise the resources available to have a maximum impact on pupils' learning.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application, you will need• QTS status
• Experience of teaching Year 1
• Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• High expectations of behaviour and achievement
• A passion for teaching and learning
• A commitment to professional development and safeguarding
• A current DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays
• Satisfactory references
