Job Title: Social Worker Community Learning Disability Team (x2 Posts)
Location: Swansea, Wales
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months initially)
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week), Hybrid
Pay Rate: £38.43 per hour

Overview:
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of Swansea Council for two full-time Social Workers to join Adult Services within the Community Learning Disability Team on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

These are fantastic opportunities to make a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities while working within a supportive and experienced local authority team.

Available Posts:

• Transition Team Social Worker supporting young people transitioning from Children s Services into Adult Social Care.
• Adults Team Social Worker providing statutory support to adults with learning disabilities, including assessments, care planning, and safeguarding.

Key Details:

• Working arrangements: Hybrid a mix of home working, attending the Guildhall in Swansea, and face-to-face client visits.
• Safeguarding: You may be required to attend welfare checks and safeguarding visits.
• System knowledge: Familiarity with WCCIS would be advantageous due to the short-term nature of the contract.
• Location: Candidates local to Swansea or willing to travel are preferred.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (Social Work Wales registration required)
• Experience within Adult Social Care, ideally within Learning Disabilities or Transitions
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices
• Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain)
