Salary: 20.00 - 24.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority for a skilled Carpenter to join their responsive repairs team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality maintenance work across council-owned, occupied properties within the London Borough of Enfield.

Applicants must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate. It is important to note that we are unable to progress candidates who do not meet this requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out a broad range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied council homes.

• Repairing or replacing uPVC windows and doors.
• Installing or repairing skirting boards, floorboards, window frames, doors, door linings, locks, cabinet handles, stair railings, and other fixtures.
• Accurately diagnosing required works and preparing quotes using Schedule of Rates (SORs).
• Raising follow-up repairs with term contractors while considering budget constraints.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)
• Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (mandatory)
