PK Education is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a diverse and thriving primary school near Dewsbury/Ossett. This full-time, long-term placement will start ASAP and run through to the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
• Effectively manage and engage students to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Cater for the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting the curriculum to provide the best support for each individual.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful classroom atmosphere.
• Provide assessment and feedback that supports students' progress and development.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Key Stage 1 teacher, specifically within Year 2.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum and how to adapt it for diverse learners, including those with SEND.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with children, colleagues, and parents.
• Demonstrates effective behaviour management techniques and a proactive approach to creating a positive learning environment.
• A commitment to providing the best outcomes for all students, regardless of their abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
