Location: Solihul

Salary: £190 - £210 (Depending on experience)

We are seeking a compassionate, resourceful, and experienced Music Teacher to join our close-knit team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our incredible students.

We are looking for a Teacher who have experience working with SEMH students. You will be working with students aged 7 - 16. The school caters for a wide range of special educational needs, including the following diagnosed or described conditions:

  • Attachment Difficulty
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder, including Asperger s Syndrome
  • Dyspraxia
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Specific Learning Difficulties, i.e. Dyslexia
  • Speech and Language Disorder
  • Tourettes Syndrome

What You ll Do
  • Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans that align with students Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages communication, social interaction, and emotional growth.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and teaching assistants, to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Use evidence-based teaching strategies, including TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration techniques.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents/carers and external professionals.
What We re Looking For
  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent with a strong background in SEN.
  • Experience: Proven track record of working with children with autism, preferably in a primary setting.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, adaptability, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with autism.
  • Creativity: The ability to think outside the box and tailor teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
