We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced TA who wants to make a real impact in the classroom and support students in developing strong literacy and communication skills.

The Role:

As an English Specialist TA, you will work closely with the English department, supporting students across KS3 and KS4. You will provide targeted literacy intervention, assist with lesson delivery, and help raise attainment in reading, writing, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with English language and literature in both classroom and small-group settings

Deliver targeted literacy interventions and reading support

Assist in planning and resourcing engaging lessons

Foster a love of reading and writing across the school

Provide support for students with EAL or additional learning needs

Contribute to a positive, focused learning environment

About You:

A degree in English, English Literature, or a related field (2:2 or above)

A strong grasp of English language and grammar

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A passion for education and working with young people

Experience in a school or tutoring setting is desirable but not essential
