KS2 Teacher - Alternative Provision Whitehaven

Location: Whitehaven
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time Until Easter 2026
Class Size: Up to 8 pupils

Pay 160 - 240 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a dedicated Alternative Provision in the Whitehaven area, who are seeking a KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis until Easter 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact by working with a small class of up to 8 pupils, many of whom require additional support to re-engage with their learning.

About the Role:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
• Work closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants and pastoral staff
• Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment
• Support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to build confidence and achieve progress
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with KS2 pupils
• A positive, resilient approach and commitment to inclusive education
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience within an Alternative Provision or working with SEMH (desirable but not essential)
