Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching is delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Plymouth.

An experienced Learning Support Assistant or a recent Graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Your responsibilities will Include:

• Supporting Students: Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with additional needs, helping them thrive academically and socially.
• Support: Assist the teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management.
• Assistance: Encourage positive behaviour and engagement, contributing to a calm and focused learning environment.

We are looking for candidates available to start the first week of September and can commit on a long-term basis.

• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - 13.96 per hour to 14.96 per hour
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm, plus parents evenings

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
