Senior Design Manager - Water
Type: Contract/Hybrid
Location: Nationwide
Salary: £500 - £550 per day (Inside) (Negotiable subject to experience)
Duration: 6-12 months initial (option to extend)
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a technically minded Senior Design Manager to join an inclusive team delivering transformational UK infrastructure programmes. You will be working on some of the UK's most exciting engineering projects across thriving sectors in Water, Aviation, Defence, & Energy, shaping how infrastructure impacts people and places.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design delivery across complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Provide design management expertise for both traditional and Design & Build project environments
- Deliver high-quality technical design work in accordance with relevant standards and codes
- Develop briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals
- Collaborate with UK and international teams to deliver integrated, innovative solutions
- Identify and manage project risks effectively, ensuring strong quality and compliance oversight
- Maintain strong adherence to quality assurance and safety practices throughout the design lifecycle.

What we require from you:
- Demonstrable experience in leading major design projects, particularly in the water or wastewater sector
- Chartered Engineer or working towards - essential
- Knowledge of treatment solutions, hydraulic systems, water supply, wastewater collection, and UK design standards
- Commercially aware with strong contractual and project management expertise
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience managing risk and quality across all project stages
- Eligible for security clearance (details discussed at interview)
