Job Description

I am working alongside a UK leading renewable energy contractor. They are looking to onboard a project manager to help deliver a new renewable energy scheme being delivered in Nottinghamshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and knowledge of full project lifecycles in the renewable sector.

Project manager requirements:

1.

Project Planning and Scheduling

Develop a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones from design through commissioning.

2.

Budget Management

*

Create and manage the project budget, monitor expenditures, and control costs to stay within financial constraints.

3.

Resource Allocation

*

Assign responsibilities and manage labour, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient use of resources.

4.

Permitting and Regulatory Compliance

*

Ensure the project complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental permits and utility interconnection agreements.

5.

Stakeholder Communication

*

Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders.

6.

Risk Management

*

Identify potential risks (e.g., weather delays, supply chain issues), develop mitigation strategies, and adapt to changes proactively.

7.

Vendor and Contractor Management

*

Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) firms and other service providers.

8.

Quality Control and Assurance

*

Implement quality standards, inspect work regularly, and ensure all components (e.g., panels, inverters) meet required specifications.

9.

Health and Safety Oversight

*

Enforce site safety protocols, conduct training, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

10.

Project Reporting and Documentation

*

Maintain comprehensive records, generate progress reports, and ensure all documentation is complete for project close-out and handover.

Project manager requirements:

* Right to work in the UK.

* NVQ level 6.

* CSCS.

* SMSTS.

* First aid.

* Previous experience with renewable projects i.e windfarms, solar farm, BESS etc.

* IT literate.

* Full UK driving licence.
