Administrator/System Tester 6-9 months contract

The Vacancy

About the role: To support the testing phase of our business transformation with the preparation and execution of test scenarios for housing repairs and associated financial data to enable the team to test system functionality effectively across the new housing management system.

You will be responsible for accurately inputting repair scenario data and works orders ensuring the that the information is accurate and cross-referenced. Updating records and ensuring correct documentation is collated and analysed, conducting regular data checks to identify and rectify discrepancies or errors. Producing related reports for further analysis and dissemination.

You will report to the Process & Systems Manager who will support your training and development in the role. As part of our friendly and responsive team you will be helping us achieve our vision of “delivering homes that our customers can rely on and that helps them live well”. We want to hear from people who are passionate about putting our customer first and possess a strong work ethic and a flexible approach with great collaborative abilities.

About you: We are looking for someone with great communication and teamwork skills, with an analytical mindset with a very strong attention to detail. You don’t need experience per-se; although systems skills and a curiosity for how to test and improve systems are important attributes.

Initial training will be for around 3-4 weeks and will require full office attendance (Mon-Fri), after which time a hybrid model will apply working via a mixture of office, remote and homeworking (2 days office and 3 remote, - if full time).

Previous experience or knowledge of housing, property or a repairs environment would be helpful, but not essential. This role would be a great foundation for someone who is looking for a career in testing/business improvement. Alternatively, you may have relevant work experience including data validation and want to work flexibly/part time.

Where could this role take you?

Whilst this is not currently a permanent role, in a business of our size and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended, made permanent or other opportunities may arise. Many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term doesn’t materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields.

We have a comprehensive range of benefits which you can read about on our careers site, in the meantime, here’s a sample:

25 days holiday as standard to start (30 days for ‘Head of’ & above roles) plus three days between Christmas and New year.
Pension scheme: a defined contribution scheme with employer contributions of 7.5% or 9.5% depending on the employee’s contribution rate.
Health cash plan – worth over £1,800 per year. Includes dental, optical, prescriptions, flu jabs and much more.
Paid Giving Back Days (volunteering)
Modern collaborative offices, with free parking and charging points for electric vehicles.
