The role
As a Site Safety Practitioner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Joining a team that manage safety in 500 buildings you'll participate in fulfilling the requirements to enable them to meet the needs of the client.

Day to day, you'll assist the SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Lead in driving continual SHE improvement locally and within the wider business.

Implement the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
To provide professional advice and support to the operational areas regarding practical application of safety processes & approach
Develop, maintain and deliver; health and safety reports, communications, policies/processes/arrangements
Essential experience of the Site Safety Practitioner:

Extensive relevant health & safety experience in a hazardous industry (E.G. construction industry)
Ideally have a working knowledge of Dockyard operations, the Royal Navy or similar experience
Demonstrable passion for SHE, which you can evidence at interview
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other departments to deliver outcomesThis is role is a full time 12 month fixed term contract. 36 hours a week. Based onsite at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Qualifications for the Site Safety Practitioner:

Minimum NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent Level 3 qualification) and /or working towards a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (or an equivalent level 6+ qualification)
Have the ambition to achieve Chartered status with IOSH or a similar professional body
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role
