We are recruiting a Senior General Foreman or Works Manager to support a large environmental and flood prevention scheme in Dorset commencing in January 2024.
The main contractor is working on behalf of the Environment agency and alongside several stakeholders to deliver this scheme over the next 3 years to protect natural surroundings, while improving and maintaining flood resilience.
The project involves a large ecologically sensitive package of works to re house a number of protected species and an extensive earthworks package, so previous sub-contractor management experience is essential.
Senior General Foreman duties:
* Interpret drawings and specification and communicate directions to site personnel, Subcontractors and suppliers
* Ensure that adequate method statements and risk assessments (RAs) are completed for high risk activities
* Working with the Project Manager, Site Agent and commercial team to coordinate site activities and record change
* Review buildability and identify methods of construction with commercial or programme advantage where possible
* Lead by example promoting health, safety, quality and environment
* Manage all sub contractors and internal Foreman and Supervisors
