Job Description
Network Engineer
Responsibilities:Assist the network engineering team in the provision of new circuits
Manage network installations, including rack & DWDM equipment mounting, commissioning, fiber, Ethernet etc
Support, guide and train the existing NOC team
Support 3rd-level technical escalations and troubleshoot related issues with internal or external customers
Support planned network maintenance activities as well as occasional emergency works
Ensure adherence to trouble ticket standards, from creation to resolution and closure, with daily monitoring of efficient ticket management and updates
Prepare reports on weekly and monthly network/vendor performanceQualifications:
4+ years relevant industry experience, ideally in Telecommunications
Proficient with optical networks installions and technical facilities/troubleshooting
Detailed understanding of SONET/OTN/SDH/DWDM and strong familiarity with OSI
Submarine cable systems experience
Strong knowledge of networking tech/protocols
Previous experience with technical problem-solving on Layer 1/2/3 networks
