GSL Education London are seeking a dedicated and compassionate "Complex Needs Support Assistant" to join their client school based in Barnet. The school is committed to providing exceptional support to students with complex needs, including those with ASD, Cerebral Palsy, and some who are wheelchair users.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with students, providing support in sensory play, feeding, and personal care.
Assist in teaching life skills, fostering independence and confidence in students.
Collaborate with the teaching team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Candidate Requirements:
Right to Work in the UK: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Enhanced Child Barred List DBS Certificate: A valid enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service is required. Alternatively, candidates must be willing to process a new application through us.
Professional Child-Related References: Two professional references related to work with children are necessary.
Updated CV: Applicants should submit an updated CV showcasing their relevant experience and qualifications.
SEN experience would be an added advantage.
Strong communication skills
Experience in undertaking observations for assessment of SEN children (preferred but not mandatory)
