Wecessful candidate should be able to provide a comprehensive educational psychology service, including advice and consultation, child-focused work, support for parents, training, and projects.
For most children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), their needs are met in local mainstream settings. These settings should strive to meet the needs of these individuals. However, there may be cases where children and young people are not making the expected progress despite efforts to identify, assess, and address their special educational needs. In such situations, schools or parents may consider requesting an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment.
This assessment involves collecting information from relevant individuals or organizations, including input from parents and the child or young person themselves. The needs assessment will help determine if additional provisions are necessary through an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment Plan.
