Interim Business Partnership Coordinator

Fixed Term Contract until end of July 2024

Here at South Thames Colleges Group, we’re now seeking a Business Partnership Coordinator to join us on a fixed term contract until the end of July 2024.

Working as part of the Business Partnerships Team, you’ll promote employer engagement, working with external agencies and stakeholders to develop business opportunities, including apprenticeships, full cost and employability courses. Strategic working with employers under the two Business Partnership Managers will help support them with their apprenticeship recruitment and training needs.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as relevant experience of working with businesses and the employer market. You’ll have evidence of building effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders and be able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. As a strong Business Administrator, you’ll be able to work on own initiative with less regular supervision, prioritise a varied workload, work to tight deadlines, multi-task, and make appropriate decisions under pressure. You’ll have a creative approach to problem solving and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team to meet shared objectives.

Knowledge of Labour Market Information, Local Skills Improvement Plans and Apprenticeships is desirable, as is knowledge of marketing and promotions.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 1st December 2023

Interviews to be held week commencing 4th December 2023

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 27 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme.

As part of our due diligence checks on prospective employees, successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

As outlined in the Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act 2010, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
