SEMH Teacher/ HLTA

Job Title: SEMH Teacher/HLTA
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £100 -£180
Start Date: Immediately
Time: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

GSL Education is actively seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEMH) in Newcastle. This unique opportunity is set to commence immediately, and we are looking for candidates with a proven track record, particularly those experienced in SEMH or working in behaviour schools.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Hold a UK recognized Teaching qualification or working towards it or possess relevant experience, with a preference for those experienced in ASD or SEMH
Run a variety of sessions, including whole class, 1:1, and intervention settings, all aimed at improving attainment; overall providing a general cover
Build rapport quickly, delivering fun and fast-paced lessons with appropriately differentiated content
Demonstrate confidence in planning sessions independently or following established schemes of work and plans
Have experience teaching pupils with significant barriers to learning, emphasizing a calm, caring, and kind disposition
Be adept at directing support assistantsThe ideal candidate will: 

Be available for work Monday to Friday
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
