Location: Wandsworth, Greater London
Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Short-term/Long-term – Part-time or Full-time

Are you a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Mentor or Teaching Assistant with experience in British Sign Language (BSL) or a minimum of BSL Level 1? An exciting opportunity awaits you at our client school, a day and residential special needs school in Wimbledon, Southwest London. We are actively seeking an individual committed to making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with Vision and Multi-Sensory Impairment.

Our client school caters to children from nursery to year 14 (2 to 19 years old) with Vision Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Multi-Sensory Impairment. They also welcome applications from pupils who would benefit from their specialized sensory education approaches and facilities.

As a Learning Support Mentor/Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the classroom teacher, ensuring that each child receives the tailored assistance they need to thrive. This role involves working closely with individual students and small groups, assisting with academic work, social skills, and emotional regulation.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) or a minimum of BSL Level 1.
Genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.
Patience, empathy, and commitment to unlocking each child's full potential.
Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers and colleagues.
