Daily Rate: £76 to £95 per day

GSL Education Hull are looking for Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants to work within a community special school in Hull, starting immediately.
This is a full-time position, 5 days a week, term time only, continues until July 2024, and offers you the opportunity to excel within your career and make a real difference in the quality of young people’s lives.
About the School:
a community special school for 3-19-year-olds supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties.
The school has outstanding facilities to meet the needs of all of its pupils, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and creative outdoor spaces.
Rated “Good” by Ofsted.
Caring for children's physical and mental welfare and collaborating with other professionals.
Engaging children in learning activities and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Be hardworking, dedicated, and committed to a long-term post.
Excellent communication skills. Candidates with experience using PECs and Makaton are advantageous but not essential.
Work alongside teaching staff and other support staff within schools, to support pupil behavior, learning, and personal development.
Encourage pupil participation in Whole-School life, including extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
Promote a positive attitude and behavior towards learning.
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following lesson outcomes planned by the class teacher.
Have a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ, or relevant experience.
Aspiring candidates must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one via GSL Education.
