Electrician

Position: Electrician

Location: Devonport, Plymouth

Employment Type: Contractor

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)

Pay rates: £13.36 - £15.43 per hour depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team on a contractor basis at our fixed site in Devonport, Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical installations across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. This role will also involve responsive and preventative maintenance, EICR assessments, associated remedial works, fault finding, and testing of switchboards and power pillars.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and test electrical installations in domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.
Perform responsive and preventative maintenance activities.
Conduct EICR assessments and carry out associated remedial works.
Identify and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
Work on and test switchboards and power pillars.
Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
Demonstrate a good understanding of various test equipment.
Desirable knowledge of 3 phase systems.
Testing and inspection qualifications are desirable.
Requirements:

Minimum of City and Guilds Level 3 qualification.
18th Edition BS7671 certification.
Proven experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and testing.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and carry out fault finding.
Excellent technical drawing interpretation skills.
Familiarity with various test equipment.
Desirable knowledge of 3 phase systems.
Testing and inspection qualifications are desirable.
