GCN Engineering Consultant

Job Title: GCN Engineer
Location: Bristol - Hybrid (For very senior candidates can be anywhere in the UK)
Contract: 9 Month Fixed Term (Potential for a permanent role at the end of the contract)
Salary: £65,000 (Salary flexible for very experienced candidates). 
 
Are you an experienced GCN Engineer with expertise in drone systems and GCN simulations? Join a rapidly growing drone technology company and become a key member of a newly established autonomous engineering team working on an exciting project.
 
The company has extensive ties with NATO Allies and the Middle East, as in undergoing a period of significant growth in the UK. 
 
As a GCN Engineer, you will lead the development of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for drone systems. Responsibilities include conducting GCN system simulations, collaborating with internal and external partners for seamless technology integration, troubleshooting technical issues, and staying abreast of industry trends in guiding, navigation, and control.
 
The ideal candidate possesses a strong grasp of control theory, applies it effectively in guidance and navigation, and demonstrates expertise in developing and assessing independent GCN algorithms. Taking on a leadership role, you will contribute innovative ideas and insights to key stakeholders. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and experience with Simulink and MATLAB is essential. The role is based in Bristol with a hybrid working arrangement.
