Project Coordinator

WSR are looking for Project Coordinator to join our client's dynamic team to help make a difference by providing businesses in Buckinghamshire with knowledge, support and opportunities for growth. They are a business-led, business-focused community for new, established, growing businesses across Buckinghamshire.

Location - Remote working, but preferably situated in the West Northamptonshire or surrounding area.
The Project Coordinator will be required to attend meetings and/or site visits within Northants. 

Weekly hours: 37 hours per week - Fixed Term Contract ending 31st March 2025, but possibly ongoing.
Salary £31,450 per annum + benefits including a 10% non-contributory pension

Project Coordinator Role Overview 

The Project Coordinator will work with the Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery and completion of the grant funding programme. 

This is an opportunity to support rural businesses with their grant applications, which will enable their businesses to grow and create new jobs.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities

To be a point of contact for businesses applying for grants
To support applicants with their funding applications, ensuring they meet the priorities of the funding programme.
To organise, attend and help plan the grant panel meetings.
To record minutes from all relevant meetings.
To ensure adherence to all processes required by the funder
To formally monitor the progress of projects across the West Northamptonshire area
To keep the CRM system up-to-date and maintain other data capture.
To provide regular reports and updates on the progress of projects as required by the Programme Manager.
To undertake site visits when required to understand the proposed project
Liaise with other relevant partner organisations to ensure a joined-up approach to promoting the funding.
To promote the funding through establishing excellent communication links within the rural community and to liaise with the Marketing Team as directed by the Programme Manager.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post level required by the Programme Manager or the senior management team.

Project Coordinator Skills & Experience

Excellent knowledge and understanding of business systems and business planning. Experience in assisting businesses with their development.
Excellent numeracy and communication skills
Able to demonstrate a thorough approach and attention to detail. An understanding of wider local and national funding schemes is an advantage, though not essential.
A good listener with effective influencing and negotiating skills
Excellent knowledge of the local area
Willingness to occasionally work outside of regular office hours.
Competency at managing your workload to KPI targets and responding flexibly to changing needs and demands To be a good team player willing to respond to the varying pressures across different programme areas
Capacity to undertake unaccompanied site visits, 
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle essential, all business expenses will be paid
Demonstrable IT skills particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of a CRM
Self-motivated and be able to work on your own as well as in partnership with others
