Functional Safety Lead Engineer

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Functional Safety Lead Software Verification Engineer - £32.50/hr (Inside IR35) - Multiple Midlands Locations - 5 Months (potential to extend)

Position Description:
Functional Safety Lead Software Verification Engineer
Control Systems Functional Safety Test Lead Engineer / Powertrain.
This role is responsible for the strategic lead, definition and execution of testing Tools and Methods for harmonised Functional Safety control systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components applied to the client's vehicles for Powertrain.

Skills Required:
- Strong system engineering and system analysis skills
- Relevant experience of integrated system testing
- Experience in ISO 26262 functional safety

Experience Required:
- Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment within the Automotive Sector, transportation or safety industries.
- Experience in ISO 26262 functional safety.
- Working knowledge in safety analysis (HARA, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA)
- Strong system engineering and system analysis skills
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a highly professional standards
- Excellent Collaborative skills
- Risk Management knowledge
- Relevant experience of integrated system testing

Experience Preferred:
- Experience in applying Systems Engineering and in testing of complex technical systems using a structured approach
- Expert in Part 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 of ISO26262
- Experience in Control Systems Software Testing using MatLab / INCA / Vector tools
- Full driving licence
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35
Multiple Midlands locations with the potential for Hybrid working.
