Main ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Mechanical Engineering Supervisor you will be responsible for:  Ensure completion of mechanical maintenance tasks with the highest level of safety and quality whilst providing professional engineering service. Improve and deliver preventative and predictive maintenance regimes, whilst balancing the requirement of emergent work. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision, inspection and execution of the Mechanical Maintenance in the section of the Dunbar plant. As a key member of the team, you will be instrumental in the future development and reliability programme here at the site. The applicant will manage and motivate a maintenance team, and ensure communication and alignment with other functions and the wider teams. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Mechanical Engineering Supervisor will have experience of:  HNC/ HND or Degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience IOSH managing safely or NEBOSH is desirable 3 years Mechanical experience in Cement or other related Continuous Process Heavy Industry. Good Knowledge of the Cement Manufacturing process or other related Continuous Heavy Industry. In-depth knowledge of practical engineering operations Technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS, Project Software) Safety rules and regulations (inc. We have a wonderful opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our well-respected team at Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Wishaw. We provide specialist rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions. Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre is located in Newmains, Wishaw. We provide specialist rehabilitation for people over the age of 16 in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions, such as Motor Neurone Disease. There are two buildings on our Murdostoun site: a brain injury rehabilitation unit and a neurological care unit. Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre We provide individualised assessment and intensive rehabilitation for up to 46 patients to help people recover from a brain injury. At all times we work to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of independence and quality of life. The site is part of the wider Active Care Group Neuro Network (consisting of 25+ sites) nationally and we focus on the use of clinical expertise, innovation and technology to meet patient’s expectations of rehabilitation goals. We most commonly assess and admit patients who are in the very early stages of recovery from a brain injury. These patients are normally admitted from a NHS hospital. We also assess and treat people who have been living with a brain injury for some time, but due to a change in their situation, would benefit from some treatment. Our team are also experienced in managing associated needs, such as specialist spasticity management, PEG feeds and skin integrity problems. We also provide cognitive rehabilitation, functional retraining and Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation (SMART) assessment if needed. What you'll be working: We can be flexible but you will work a total of 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday. What you'll be doing: * Provide a high standard of quality care under the supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist * Assist in the formulation of routine care plans involving the psychological treatment or management of the client’s condition under the direct supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist * Attend and contribute to MDT meetings * Support the delivery of teaching and training to other members of the team * Work within the professional practice and organisation guidelines * Support the Practitioner Psychologists within the service on a day to day basis * Assist with audit and research as required What you'll have: * A BPS recognised Psychology undergraduate degree of 2:1 or above * High level communication skills (written and verbal) * Ability to communicate at a high level information to patients, carers and colleagues in a way that addresses psychological resistance. * Understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with neurological problems or other disabilities. * Ability to apply existing psychological knowledge to a Neurological context * A theoretical framework in psychology * A good understanding of social science methodology and statistics * Good IT skills with an ability to use word processing, database and statistical software packages * Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. Job Overview: The main purpose of the role is to deliver packages of work from initial assignment right through to close out. You will manage the project using close collaboration with team members, the client, and other contract partners to ensure the work is delivered in line with stakeholder requirements.
