What will the apprentice be doing?
Apply strategies to support and encourage the development of independent learners
Adapt educational communication strategies
Apply behaviour management strategies in line with organisational policy
Adapt resources to support all learners
Communicating appropriately with children and young people
Communicating appropriately with teachers and other school staff
Apply teaching strategies to deliver learning activities or interventions
Build relationships with learners, teachers, other professionals and stakeholders
Comply with legislation, guidance and procedures for Prevent, safeguarding and health and safety
Support the wellbeing and mental health of learners
Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures
Apply methods of formative assessment
Use up-to-date technology safely, to support learning
Encourage safe use of technology by learners
Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners. For example, scaffolding, open questioning
Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners
Provide feedback to learners
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This is an opportunity to learn all the skills you need to qualify as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, within 18 months. You will get guidance and support from apprenticeship experts at Randstad every step of the way. Plus you'll gain on-the-job experience which will put you in a great position to secure permanent work once you qualify. Not only this, but you'll be learning alongside a group of like-minded people, so you'll have a network of support from the word go.
Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent Maths & English (Grade C/4) essential
Things to consider
This position will involve working with young people and will require a DBS (police) check. You should declare any convictions or cautions at interview; these will not necessarily prevent you from getting the job but should be declared at interview.
This will be a Septemer start date for the new term.
